Sheriff new 2016lr 1Welcome to the Hennepin County Sheriff Foundation!

We will continue to engage our federal, state and local law enforcement partners as well as parent/school organizations, advocacy groups, recovery centers, civic groups, local businesses and individuals to work to create a coalition to fight this public safety crisis.  We need your help and your support of the Foundation directly impacts our ability to bring awareness and education to help decrease the number of opioid related deaths in Hennepin County.

April – Explorers conference in Rochester

June – Foundation Golf Tournament at Burl Oaks GC; Volunteer Special Deputy Summer Picnic

July – Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs with Boys & Girls Clubs

October – Volunteer Special Deputy Recognition Banquet; Tribute to Extraordinary Citizens

2016 Activities

February – Sponsored Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs event with the Sheriff’s Community Engagement Team

April – Sponsored Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Explorer Post’s participation at the MN Conference held in Rochester

May – Sheriff’s Open House; Special Deputy Reserve School graduation

June – Golf Tournament at Burl Oaks Golf Club Edinburgh, USA; National Sheriff’s Association Annual Conference

July –Sponsored Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities – Two dozen kids between the ages of 10-14 spent the morning fishing on Lake Minnetonka while learning about the importance of making positive life choices; Explorer Post participates at National Conference;

August – Awarded scholarships to five law enforcement students; Sheriff Stanek’s golf tournament; Helped staff the Sheriff’s booth at the Minnesota State Fair

October – Sponsored the Volunteer Special Deputy Recognition Banquet with over 100 attendees; sponsored the Tribute to Extraordinary Citizens

December – Added five new Board members
